Mildred J. Senne, age 89 of Janesville, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Waseca Medical Center-Mayo Health System. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiate. Interment will be in the Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Mildred Joy was born on February 27, 1921 in Fairmont, Minnesota to Anthony and Sarah (Luckow) Schott. She was a 1939 graduate of Fairmont High School. On February 27, 1940 Mildred was united in marriage to Richard Henry Senne at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Mildred and Richard farmed and raised their family in the Trimont and Ormsby area. Later they lived in Fairmont before moving to Janesville in 1959. Over the years Mildred was employed as an Avon Representative, worked for Herter's Inc. in Waseca, and the Janesville Nursing Home. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and its Ladies Aid. She had also been a member of the Waseca Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #3753, the V.F.W. Sweet-Sommers Auxiliary # 1642, and the Janesville American Legion Auxiliary # 281. Mildred enjoyed gardening, fishing, and time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Gayle) Worrell of LaCrescent, and her sons Dennis (Loretta) Senne of Palm Coast, FL, Wayne (Barb) Senne of Princeton, William (Anita) Senne of Osseo, and James (Jackie) Senne of Waseca; by her 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren; by her sisters Charlotte (Vernon) Lutterman of Dodge Center, Carolyn (Harvey) Williamson of Estherville, IA, Diane (Cleo) Larson of Fairmont, and Mae (Robert) Schock of Grenada; by her brother Louie (Marilyn) Schott of Fairmont. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on July 23, 1982, and her son Delmer, grandson Kenneth Worrell, and great grandson Jake Senne; by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
