Mildred Hallet

Mildred A. Hallet, age 82, of Faribault, MN, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2016, at the District One Hospital in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13th from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Mildred Ann was born on April 8, 1934, in Montgomery, MN to Edward F. and Agnes (Janouch) Vyskocil. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1952 and worked as a clerk for Farewell, Ozmun, Kirk Co. in St Paul. Millie was married to Myron "Mike" Hallet on June 25, 1955 at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. They resided in Faribault and had a wonderful marriage. She loved listening to her "old time music" and enjoyed Sunday car rides with her husband. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2002. Millie valued her family. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed socializing. She took great pride in caring for nieces and nephews, maintaining lasting relationships with them throughout the years. Millie had great faith and made it a part of her daily life.

She is survived by her siblings, Don (Sandra) Vyskocil of Coon Rapids, MN, Viola (Walter) Kelsey of Faribault, and Mary Lou Schmitz of Faribault; sister-in-law, Fern Vyskocil of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews; her special friends at Southgate Apartments; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; infant daughter, Marilyn; parents, Edward and Agnes; brothers, Henry, Alvin, George, Edward, Raymond, and John Vyskocil; and sisters, Irene Covey, and Elsie Boldt.
