Mildred Coulombe

Mildred W. "Millie" Coulombe, age 81 of Waseca, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2013 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 1:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in Waseca's Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca, and will continue on Tuesday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 4:00 P.M. Catholic Daughter Rosary and 7:00 P.M. parish prayer service, Monday at the funeral home.

Mildred Wilhelmina was born September 6, 1931 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada to George and Isabel (Woods) Calder. Millie attended Fort Frances High School. She was united in marriage to Roland Joseph Coulombe on March 10, 1950 in Fort Frances, Ontario. Millie and Rollie resided in International Falls until 1968 when Rollie's career took them to Waseca, Minnesota. Millie worked for many years with E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca until retiring in 1989. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Court Sacred Heart #1424, and former member of the Waseca Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #3753. Millie enjoyed crafts, crocheting, bowling, and many winters her and Rollie spent in Apache Junction, AZ. She most enjoyed her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Terrie (Donald) Oliver of Burnsville, Roland J. "John" (Becki) Coulombe, Jr. of Waseca, and Michael Coulombe of Waseca; by her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Charlotte) Calder, sisters, Jane (James) McLeod and Florence Hill, all of Fort Frances, Ontario, and Phyllis Shine of Sardis, British Columbia; brothers-in-law, Louis Coulombe and Paul Coulombe of Sauk Rapids; sister-in-law, June Etienne of International Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rollie in 2008; son, Chris in 2007; brothers, Gary Calder and George Calder; sisters, Melvina Doupe, Violet Cameron, and Marge Williams.

Casketbearers are: Mike Coulombe, John Coulombe, Jason Oliver, Jeff Oliver, John Oliver, Brad Coulombe, and Jeff Miller.

Honorary bearers are: Paula Miller, Don Oliver, Jr., Stacey Oliver, Sarah Coulombe, Ashley Coulombe and Cristie Coulombe.
