Matilda "Tillie" Hruza, age 93, of Faribault, passed away on June 23, 2012 at her daughter's home in Seymour, TN. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault with Father Clarence Vavra, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Matilda Francis Lapic, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Jurik) Lapic, was born on September 17, 1918 in Veseli. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School where she sang in the choir. On October 12, 1942, Tillie was united in marriage to John Hruza at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. They resided in St. Paul for two years and later moved to Faribault, where she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 1946. John later preceded her in death on March 31, 1997. While she spent most of her life as a housewife, she also enjoyed gardening, fishing with her husband, and was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles in Faribault. She is survived her one daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" (Jerry) Tetting of Seymour, TN; her grandchildren and step grandson, Heather Spaeth and Shane (Tabitha) Noyes, both of Maryland and Robert (Brenda) Tetting of Seymour, TN; her seven great grandchildren and by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John "Jack" Hruza and by her brothers and sisters.
