Mary Tibodeau

Mary P. Tibodeau, age 66, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Rev. Craig Breimhorst, officiating.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary Patrice was born on October 30, 1952 in Winnebago, MN to Bernard and Anna Marie (Schimek) Tibodeau.  She graduated form Wells Easton High School with the class of 1971.  Mary worked for over 40 years at the Faribault Regional Center caring for the clients.  She continued her work at Our Circle of Friends group home for a few years until retirement and also operated Purrsnickitty, her cat rescue organization.  Mary enjoyed caring for her flower garden, traveling, watching the Food Channel, attending the Renaissance Festival, and Tran-Siberian Orchestra concerts.  She loved going out to eat and spending time with her friends.  Most of all, Mary cherished time with her daughter and son-in-law, and grandchildren, often “playing in the dirt” with her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Nikki (Ben) Gare of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Britnee Gare of Shoreview, MN, Blake Gare of Shakopee, MN, and Hailie Gare of Faribault; siblings, Sue Rivard of Albert Lea, MN, Kathryn Tibodeau of Maple Grove, MN, Chuck (Shelley) Tibodeau of Wells, MN, Michele Way of Champlin, MN, Christine (Ron)  Schultz of Easton, MN, Barb (Paul) Rehmke of Albert Lea, Ken Tibodeau of Easton, Joanne (Kerry) Haugh of Wells, and John (Joanne) Tibodeau of Wells; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard “Bernie” and Anna Marie.
