Mary Mcgannon

Mary Ann Cecelia McGannon, age 79, of Waseca died on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the New Richland Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca, with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services. A rosary will be held on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home and a prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Church of the Sacred Heart.

Mary Ann Cecelia, daughter of Peter and Anna (Rieners) Kramer, was born on July 24, 1935 in Adrian, Minnesota. She attended Adrian High School, graduating in 1953. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Francis McGannon on October 29, 1960 in Adrian, MN. Mary Ann was a member of the quilting club at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waldorf, MN for several years and was involved with the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed embroidery, crafts, playing cards, gardening and cooking.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Francis McGannon; children, Helen McGannon of Owatonna, Jim McGannon of New Prague, and Rita (Matt) Jones of Mankato; her four grandchildren, Katie McGannon, Andy McGannon, Dylan Jones, and Morgan Jones; her sisters, Veronica (Joe) McGannon of Waseca and Theresa (Robert) Neigebauer of Waseca; her brother, Vernon Kramer; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herman Kramer; son, Patrick McGannon; and by her daughter, Cathleen Ageta.
