Mary Lindberg, age 89, of Mankato, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Father Paul van de Crommert officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice or Pathstone Living.
Mary Eileen, daughter of Leo and Kathryn (Tempel) Garaghty, was born on January 1, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN. She attended vocational high school in Minneapolis. Mary was loving homemaker to her family, but also worked at Carney's, Midtex, and Sears throughout her life. She was united in marriage to Carl Lindberg on May 6, 1944 at St. Stevens Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Mary loved to spend time with her family, sing, golf, play cards, and socialize with everyone around her, especially with the residents and workers at Oak Terrace and Pathstone, where she lived in the recent years of her life.
Mary is survived by her children, Beverly (Dennis) Burns of Burnsville, Ella (Allan) Lynch of Mapleton, Harry Lindberg (special friend, Colette Thorson) of North Mankato, Lyle (Jan) Lindberg of Moundsview, and Raymond (Kathy) Lindberg of TX; grandchildren, Andrew (Nicole) Burns of Lonsdale, Amanda (Richard) Byrne of Elko-New Market, Joseph Burns of Burnsville, Todd (Michelle) Lynch of Waseca, Scott (Collette) Lynch of Janesville, Matthew (Kristine) Lynch of Mapleton, Sally (Chad) Mock, of Mankato, Teresa Blume of Byron, Angie (Chris) Beaudoin of Mankato, Nathan Lindberg (special friend, Kate Scoradato) of Seattle, WA, Marissa (John) Lassaux of Fridley, MN, Jonathan Lindberg of Seoul, Korea, and Michelle (Cory) Koewler of TX; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Wallin of Lakeville, MN; sister-in-law, Jean Lindberg of North Mankato; and by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1996; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and granddaughter, Sabrina Lindberg.
