Mary Ann Borneke, age 76 of Janesville, formerly of rural Eagle Lake, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Fr. Robert Schneider and Fr. Kevin Clinton, Con-Celebrants. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services. There will be a 4:45 Rosary prayed Sunday afternoon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville is handling arrangements. Mary Ann was born on May 23, 1933 in Cleveland, Minnesota to Phil and Margaret (Clinton) Simonett. She married Donald Borneke on August 4, 1953. Together they started the Don Borneke Construction Co. in 1965. Mary is survived by her husband Don; by her three daughters and eight sons; Margaret Jane (Michael) Mulcahey of Waseca, Marie (Dan) Jewison of Janesville, Theresa (Peter) Groh of Janesville, Richard (Shirley) Borneke of Eagle Lake, Daniel Borneke of Eagle Lake, Samuel Borneke of Madison Lake, Mark Borneke, John (Kathy) Borneke, Thomas (Cris) Borneke, Patrick (Becky) Borneke, all of Janesville, and Joseph (Amy) Borneke of Waseca; by 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; by her sisters Jerre Berens of Mankato, and Alice (Ken) Hermer of Mankato, and her brother Tim Simonett of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her son William in 1999, and granddaughter Elizabeth in 1998. Casketbearers are Mary Ann's sons.
