Marvin P. Reuvers, age 60 of Faribault, MN died on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at The Emeralds of Faribault following a sudden illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at Alexander Park in Faribault, Shelter 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a meal being served at 12:00 noon. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault with Fr. Henry Doyle officiating.
Marvin Paul Reuvers, the son of Peter G. and Lucille (Van Houdt) Reuvers was born on October 2, 1962 in Faribault. He attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1980. He spent 39 years working at Shattuck St. Mary’s in the kitchen. Marv was a humble and quiet man with the biggest heart you have ever known. He cared deeply about his family and friends. As a young boy, he helped take care of his ill mother and stayed by her bedside for whatever she needed. Pretty impressive for a 10 year old! Marv loved the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings, any sport in fact! He also enjoyed playing pool, watching softball games and having a cold beer with his buddies. Faribault will not be the same without him out and about. Whether it would be heading to Grampa Als, the Sig or to work, Marv enjoyed a good walk.
Marvin is survived by his siblings, Marge Boyd of Waterville, Marlys (Charlie) House of Eagle, AK, Mike (Donna) Reuvers of Faribault, Marlin (Zella) Reuvers of Tennessee, Mary Reuvers-Akonu of Lakeville, Michele (Alan) Ernste of Faribault, Myron Reuvers of Faribault, Marilyn (John) Llyod of Flagstaff, AZ, Patty Reuvers of Burnsville and Tony (Sue) Reuvers of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his sister Melinda, his brother Peter Jr; by his nieces Angel Alison in 2006 and Kayleigh Grace in 2008.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
