Marlys Kolhoff

Marlys J. Kolhoff, age 71, of Faribault, MN passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Emeralds Care Center in Faribault.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault with Father Cory officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.

Marlys was gentle and kind, and brought warmth into any room she entered. She was a good listener and had empathy for those who needed it most. She loved mysteries; her home was a library, an exhaustive collection of hundreds of mystery novels dreamt up by her favorite authors. She prayed for her family every day, and would do anything for them. She is loved without end by her children, to whom she gave enough love to last lifetimes. She was always a source of encouragement, and will continue to be from heaven. Thank you, Marlys, for every moment you spent with us.

Marlys is survived by her children, Joseph Kolhoff and Brenda Trudeau; grandchildren, Alex Streif and Jake Streif; brothers, Denny (Penny) Trudeau, David (Carol) Trudeau; sisters, Ardelle Gilbert and Sharlene (Michael) Hegland; sister-in-law, Jackie Trudeau; and many other friends, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Albina Trudeau; sister, Elaine Thomas; and brother, Ronald Trudeau.
