Mark Zensen

August 12, 1918 — March 18, 2013

Mark Zensen, age 94, of Faribault, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Mark J. Zensen, the son of John and Mary (Becker) Zensen, was born on August 12, 1918 in Ashton, Iowa. He graduated from Faribault High School and Dunwoody Institute. Mark served in the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in Alaska and Burma. He worked as a finish carpenter by trade and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Pat Jorgensen, John L. Zensen, Nancy Lauritsen, and Tom Zensen; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John C., Fred, and Joe Zensen; and sister, Mary Ann Zensen.
