Mark Allen Wehner, age 62, of Faribault, MN, and formerly of Forest Lake, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family, following a 5 ½ year courageous battle with brain cancer.

Mark Allen Wehner was born on July 8, 1962, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Thomas “Tim” and Sharon (Owens) Wehner. He graduated from Forest Lake High School with the class of 1980. He worked in Information Technology (IT) for many years and most recently was a project manager with TCS. Most of all, Mark Allen was a beloved and respected musician. He was a singer and song writer having recorded several albums, the most recent of which “Down The Road”. As a child he taught himself how to play the harmonica on a family trip to North Carolina. He had a lengthy career playing in bands and performed many solo events. Mark Allen performed at many weddings, birthdays, and the national anthem for the Relay for Life often. He was generous with his talents, volunteering his time to sing for many benefits with what he called Play it Forward to raise funds for organizations. He was a kind, humble, generous man who unconditionally loved everyone. He and Julee Daniels were married on October 10, 2009, sharing a beautiful relationship with each other.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julee Daniels; children, Adrienne Swartwoudt, Melanie Swartwoudt, and Creegan Wehner; grandchildren, Layla Wenker and Cameron Anonby; his mother, Sharon Wehner; brothers, Jeff Wehner (Tracy), and Joe Wehner (Rosalba); nieces and nephew, Annika Wehner, Michael Gilomen (Courtney), and Madalyn Gilomen; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Wehner.

A time for fellowship and a visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Corks & Pints and 10,000 Drops, 28 4th St. NE, Faribault. A service of remembrance will be held at 6:00 p.m.
