Mark DuPay

Mark “Dupe” DuPay, age 60 of Faribault, MN passed away surrounded by his family and closest friends on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home.

Mark Joseph was born on October 24th, 1964 to William “Bill” DuPay and Bonnie DuPay in Northfield, MN. He graduated from Northfield High School with the class of 1983. After High School, Dupe worked for College City Beverage for many years and most recently with Crown Cork and Seal of Faribault. Back in the day, Dupe also was known for being the bouncer at Al’s working the back door for many years spending almost every Friday and Saturday night.

Mark raised three daughters. Never missing a school or sporting event. If you saw Mark out and about, you’d likely see one or all three attached to his hip. Especially Friday nights for softball at Alexander Park. He could rarely sneak out of the house without his girls.

Duper never turned down a chance to hang out with his buddies, from weekends at the lake to summer trips at BIR, He was fortunate enough to have a group of best friends for over 50 years. Mark could talk about all things sports and NHRA. Especially if there was cold beer involved.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Ali (Willy) Malecha, Amanda (Christian Cruz) DuPay, and Lydia (Logan Murphy) DuPay; his grandchildren, Theory, Ilah, Bentley, Christian Jr and Isaiah; his parents, Bonnie DuPay of Northfield and Bill and Jane DuPay of Webster MN; his sister, Myra (Mark) Bergstrom; niece, Mariah (Reid) Ellanson; Mark’s best friends Danny, Nick, Marty and Paul and their families; and many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Cressie Malek and William and Irene DuPay and by the mother of his children, Mary Jo Almendinger.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Following the Celebration of Life at the funeral home, everyone is invited to Boxer’s Bar, 429 Central Ave N, Faribault to continue the celebration. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Northfield at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
