Marjorie A. Yerhot, age 82, of Faribault, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Dr., Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and Crematory of Faribault. Marjorie Ann Hatfield, the daughter of Marion and Frances (Lamberty) Hatfield, was born on September 9, 1928 in Faribault. Marjorie married Michael J. Yerhot on May 6, 1947 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. They farmed for many years in the Kilkenny area. Mike preceded her in death on December 8, 1974. Marjorie was a homemaker for her family, cared for her gardens on the farm, and enjoyed animals including cats, dogs and chickens. She is survived by six children, Mary (Philip) Condon of Stewartville, Michael (Rosemary) Yerhot of Kilkenny, Joan (Steven) Patee of Faribault, Donald (Judy) Yerhot of Richfield, Timothy (Jean) Yerhot of Chaska, and Jane (Ted) Hanegraaf of New Prague; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; six siblings, Don Hatfield of Faribault, Rene (Ed) Schmitz of St. Paul, John (Janet) Hatfield of Minneapolis, Bob (Janice) Hatfield of Sleepy Eye, Bill (Judy) Hatfield of Faribault, and Jerry Hatfield of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Yerhot; parents; sisters, Mary Jane Hanson and Frances Hoisington; brother-in-law, Mike Hanson; sister-in-law, Gladys Hatfield; nephews, John Hatfield Jr., Fred Hatfield, and Thomas Hatfield; and niece, Theresa Castle. Memorials or food may be given to the Faribault Area Food Shelf in memory of Marjorie.
