Marjorie M. Palm of Waseca, died on August 12, 2008 at her home. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice. A private family service is planned. Marjorie Mae was born on March 8, 1926 in Claymont, Georgia to Bulo M. and Coy Lee (Self) Hunt. Marjorie grew up in Shelby, N.C., where she graduated from high school. On January 30, 1954 Marjorie was united in marriage to Richard William Palm in Columbus, Georgia. Marjorie and Dick have resided in Waseca their entire married life. She was a 20 year employee for E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca, retiring in 1989. Marjorie most enjoyed time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband Dick, and sons Michael (Nancy) Palm, Steven Palm, all of Waseca, and Gary Palm of New Richland; by her grandsons, Andrew, Nathan and Tyson; by her sisters Lalene Washburn of Boiling Springs, NC, and Mattie (Jack) Welmon of Shelby, NC; by her sisters-in-law Jean (Gerald) Ferry, Hazel Bethke, and JoAnn Palm, all of Waseca, and her brother-in-law Jack Young of Boiling Springs, NC; by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son James at infancy, four brothers and three sisters.
