Marion B. Lockner, age 93, of Faribault, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault, with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to services. Parish prayers will be recited on Monday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Faribault Area Hospice. Marion Barbara Langer, the daughter of John and Helen (Meyers) Langer was born on March 28, 1916 in Faribault. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1933. On June 28, 1938 she was united marriage to Aris Lockner at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Mr. Lockner preceded her in death on August 27, 1981. After their marriage, Marion played piano and organ at Immaculate Conception Church and also at the Faribault Regional Center. She also played piano at the Faribault Country Club on Saturday nights and played with different bands and combos in the Faribault Area. Marion helped Aris with different tasks at their business, Lockner Motor Sales. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Jim Lockner and Mike (Debbie) Lockner, both of Faribault; by two daughters in law, Mary Kay Lockner of Faribault and Joanne Lockner of Owatonna; by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; by her brother, Richard (June) Langer of Bloomington, MN; by three sisters, Rose (Don) Paquette, Lenore Pobanz and Barbara Mulcahy, all of Faribault; by her sister in law, Pat Langer of Lake City, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by two sons, Larry and John "Jack" Lockner, by her grandson, Christopher Lockner, by her brother Francis Langer and by her sister Loretta Williams.
