Mable R. Walkowiak, age 97, of Apple Valley, MN, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the Arbors at Ridges in Burnsville, MN.

Mable Rose was born on March 9, 1927, in Faribault, MN, the daughter of Emil and Grace (Simon) Corbesia. She married John E. Walkowiak Sr. on January 3, 1946, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. Mable was a homemaker for her family and later worked at Sears in Burnsville.

She is survived by her children, John E. Walkowiak Jr. (Cindy), Jim Walkowiak (Mary Jo), and Patty Ellis (Bill); grandchildren, Melinda, Michael (Nikki), John (Molly), Matthew (Mandy), and Jennifer (Andy); step grandson, Matt; great grandchildren, Shayla, Vanessa, Dylan, Ella, Zimmry, and Brooks; step great grandchildren, Liam and Davin; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John; parents, Emil and Grace; and siblings, Ray Corbesia, Floyd Corbesia, and Rita Schneider.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 County Road 42 E, Burnsville, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Private interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice in memory of Mable.
