Lyle Davis

Lyle F. Davis, age 63, of Owatonna, MN died on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna following an extended illness.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the new location of Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N. in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Lyle Franklin, the son of Lowell and Lila (Toyne) Davis, was born on March 11, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. He attended Annandale High School and graduated with the class of 1973. On September 12, 1981 he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Condon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Owatonna. They later divorced. Lyle worked for different businesses over the years in Owatonna and Faribault including Cybex, Napa Auto, Upper Deck Restaurant and for the past 10 years worked in food service at Carleton College in Northfield. Lyle also worked for many years as a backstage tech at concerts around the upper Midwest. He was a fan of all Minnesota sports teams and was an avid Beatle's fan and collector. Lyle enjoyed watching documentaries and reading about history, especially World War II and Native American history.

He is survived by his children, Tyrone (Danielle) Davis of Owatonna and their children, Melany and Myles, Tasha (Ryan) Johnson of Fairmont, MN and Tyler Davis of Mankato, MN; by his former wife Mary Jo (Dean) Schroeder of Owatonna; by his sister, Lonna Mudrak of Minnetonka, MN and by three half sisters, Barb (Tom) Dircks of Monticello, MN, Debby (Harold) Ogden of Fergus Falls, MN and Vicky Norlander of Oconomowoc, WI and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Marilyn Davis
