Lucy A. Pansier, age 87, of Faribault, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Oakwood Hills Care Center in Faribault following an extended illness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church in Medford. Interment will be at the Resurrection Cemetery in Medford. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church. The Catholic Daughters will have a Rosary Service on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lucy Anna Van Zuilen, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Kern) Van Zuilen, was born on October 23, 1923 in Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School. She then worked at the Minnesota State Academy of the Deaf before marrying Willis Pansier on September 19, 1950 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Together they farmed for many years in Walcott Township, Rice County. Willis preceded her in death on November 24, 2001. Lucy also was a homemaker, 4-H Leader, and seamstress. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and playing cards with her neighborhood card club, the Golden Hour. Lucy was a caring and giving person, and loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Medford Catholic Daughters and Rice County NFO. She is survived by three children, Linda Pansier of Faribault, Tom (Delores) Pansier of Faribault, and Mary (Lawrence) Gable of Northfield; three granddaughters, Kristina, Shannon, and Karen Gable; a great granddaughter, Katelyn Gable; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Van Zuilen of West Concord, and Therese Van Zuilen of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; parents; son, James Pansier; infant daughter; great grandson, Dylan; sister, Eva Van Bergen; and five brothers, Louis, Philip, Al, John and Joseph Van Zuilen.
