Lucille "Lucy" Bauer, age 81 of Faribault, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN following a sudden illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School in memory of Lucy.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Lucille Theresa Jandro, the daughter of Felix and Mary (Mahoney) Jandro was born on August 15, 1935 in Wells Township, Rice County, MN. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1953. On June 29, 1954 she was united in marriage to Roger Bauer at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault, MN. Lucy worked for many years as a secretary at BMI in Faribault and later worked for RGIS Inventory and Walmart. Lucy and Roger also owned and operated Bauer's Resort on Shields Lake for 18 years. Roger preceded her in death on December 23, 1995. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life and she prayed daily. Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, bowling, reading and was an avid Vikings and Twins fan.
She is survived by her four children, Wade (Tracie) Bauer of Lexington, SC, Kevin Bauer of Faribault, MN, Judy (Scott) Brandes of Homer, Alaska and Lynn (Chris) Loew of Minneapolis, MN; by five grandchildren, Scott, Tiffany, Frederick, Eleanor and Lindsey and by a great grandson Brayden; by her brother, Thomas (Gail) Jandro of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Ronald, sister, Margaret Weinand and four brothers, Hilary, Louis, Eugene and Donald Jandro.
