Louanna A. Klocke

Louanna A. Klocke, age 92, of Faribault, MN, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Emeralds at Faribault Care Center.

Louanna Angela was born on March 1, 1932, in Lidderdale, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Angela (Ockan) Loew.  She was united in marriage to Alvin Klocke on September 11, 1950, in Hayfield, MN.  After their marriage they moved to Askov, MN, where they farmed for several years.   Later they would move to Pine River, MN, where they purchased a bakery.  Besides the farm and bakery, Louanna also raised her nine children.   She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and making quilts.  She was active in volunteer work, sang in multiple church choirs, and enjoyed playing the organ.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte Klocke, Gene (Marissa) Klocke, Norman (Debbie) Klocke, Alan (Barb) Klocke, Daryl (Connie) Klocke, Cindy (Galen) Beck, Susan (David) Jorgensen, Glen (Aniza) Klocke and Gerald (Jennifer) Klocke; 32 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Van Pelt and Patricia Hesch; sister-in-law, Kathy Loew; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her parents, Jacob and Angela; grandchildren, Jacob Klocke and Candace Hurd; brothers, Vernon Loew and Donald Loew; sister, Darlene Klocke (Paul); and brother in infancy, Norman Paul Loew.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Sr. Kathleen Hayes, officiating.  Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
