Lorraine M. (Beaupre) Miller 1918-2015, age 97 of Faribault, MN, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2015 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home where she resided for the last 9 years.

Lorraine Marie Beaupre Miller, daughter of David and Nora (LeBlanc) Beaupre was born on February 15, 1918 in Faribault. Lorraine graduated from Faribault High School and attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in St. Paul. On July 29, 1939, Lorraine was united in marriage to William (Bing) Miller at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish House in Faribault.

Lorraine worked in the Miller Family Grocery Store along with her husband, and also worked for many years at the Faribault Woolen Mills, Farmer Seed and Nursery, and the Faribault Regional Center. But her primary role was mother and grandmother. Lorraine and Bing were life-long residents of Faribault where they worked and raised their family.

Lorraine took pride in volunteering for her church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. She made over 150 altar cloths for her church and laundered the cloths and Altar Boy robes regularly. She also helped to clean the church, volunteered at annual church dinners, and sang in the choir many years ago. Lorraine and Bing also volunteered at District One Hospital, planting the flowers around the helipad and in the courtyard on the south side of the hospital, many of the blooms coming from her own garden, which are still there today.

Lorraine was an auxiliary member of many organizations in Faribault, including the Faribault Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagle's and a former member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bingo, reading, and word-find puzzles and most of all creating wonderful holiday dinners for her family.

She is survived by daughters, Judith Caron and Joan Boysen, sister-in-law Jeannine Beaupre all of Faribault. Nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bing, her son John D. (Jack) Miller, son-in-law Michael Boysen, her parents, a brother Carlyle Beaupre, sisters Cecelia Westlund, Jean Larkin, Dode Hering, sister-in-law Jane Sears, and a niece Ellen McKee.

Lorraine's daughters would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Manor for taking such good care of Mom all of these years.
