Loretta Mae Freeman, age 89, of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Heritage House Elder Care in Faribault.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Shieldsville, MN.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Loretta Mae was born on September 11, 1927 in Cannon City Township, Rice County, MN to Bert and Stella (Caron) Lambert. She married Daniel Freeman Sr. on August 22, 1945 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2005. Loretta worked as a cook at St. James Academy and the Faribault Country Club, cleaned homes for people, and volunteered for many years at Catholic organizations and the Clothes Closet. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to dances, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Freeman Jr. of Backus, MN, and Kenneth Freeman of Faribault; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Gerry Lambert and Ray (Helen) Lambert, both of Faribault; sister, Eileen Venaro of Faribault, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sr.; daughter, Jean Bjorkman; son, Richard Freeman; parents, Bert and Stella; and sisters, Hazel Caron, and Corrine Dwyer.
