Loretta M. Dusbabek, age 82 of Faribault, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Loretta Marie, the daughter of Emil and Clara (Lapic) Vavra, was born on May 25, 1934 in Lonsdale, MN. Loretta's family lived in the Lonsdale area and later moved to Faribault where she attended school. On June 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Andrew Timmers at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Andrew preceded her in death on October 23, 1966. On Nov. 11, 1967 she was united in marriage to Richard Dusbabek. Loretta worked for many years as a waitress at the Maid-Rite Restaurant in Faribault and later worked at local grocery stores, Food Bonanza and Hy-Vee, demoing different food products. Loretta was known for her fudge at Christmas and made the best banana bread. She participated in several bowling leagues over the years, enjoyed playing bingo, playing the lottery, going for walks with her sister and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Dusbabek of Faribault; by four children, John (Debbie) Timmers of Faribault, Joe (Renee) Timmers of St. Paul Park, MN, Connie (Jason) Kliewer-Dusbabek of Faribault and Mark Timmers; by eight grandchildren, Matt Timmers, Nicole Barnette, Erica Feyereisn, Jamie Campbell, Jessie Mathews, Kirsten Timmers, Levi Joyner and Brady Kliewer; by 11 great grandchildren; by her siblings, Dorothy Cole of Faribault and Virgil (Vicki) Vavra of Owatonna; by her sister-in-law, Esther Vavra of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Clara Vavra and by her brother, Dennis Vavra.
