Lois Hunt

Lois J. Hunt, age 83 of Faribault, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Walker Methodist Care Suites in Edina, MN surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault with the Rev. Joy K. Bussert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the Warsaw Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to First English Lutheran Church or the donor's choice in memory of Lois.

Lois Jean, the daughter of Leslie and Vivian (Herkenratt) Thielbar, was born on August 15, 1932 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1950. On November 15, 1950 she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Hunt at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault. After their marriage Lois stayed at home to raise their family. Later she worked part time in Faribault. In retirement Lois and Ron would spend their winters in Casa Grande, AZ and recently had moved to Lakeville, MN. Lois enjoyed entertaining at their lake home, spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren, bird watching, cooking, playing the piano, following her children and grandchildren sports and activities, the Lynx, Gopher sports and connecting with her Facebook family and friends on the iPad.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Hunt of Lakeville, MN; by seven children, Theresa (Jim) Tierney of Bloomington, MN, Gerry (Sue) Hunt of Faribault, Vivian Jilek of Medford, MN, Brian Hunt of Savage, MN, Ron (Lisa) Hunt of Bay Lake, MN, Gary (Onome) Hunt of Apple Valley, MN and Todd (Joan) Hunt of Faribault, MN; by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings, Beth Boyum, Ethel Jensen, Carol Witte, June Dawes, Eileen Spitzack, Ronald, Lyle, Lloyd, Albert, Donald and Kenneth Thielbar.
