Lois Hohenhaus

Lois K. Hohenhaus, age 95, of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Ecumen Centennial House in Apple Valley.

A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.

Lois Kathleen, the daughter of Charles and Irene (Roell) Joachim, was born on October 20, 1924 in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1942. She was united in marriage to Dr. William Hohenhaus on January 27, 1945 in Faribault. They farmed in Wells Township and then moved around Minnesota for teaching jobs. Lois worked as a bookkeeper during World War II. She raised 6 children. She enjoyed bird watching, crewel work, and crossword puzzles.

Lois is survived by her children: Susan (James) Majerus, Carol (Harry) O’Neil, Peter Hohenhaus, Jean Hohenhaus-Crist, Marcia (Douglas) White, and Andrew (Linda) Hohenhaus; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; sisters Carmel Miller, Marie Haugen, and Gladys Illsley; brother Jerome Joachim; and grandson, David O’Neil.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
