Lisa M. Meyer, age 39, of Sioux Falls, SD, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away on May 24, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, following a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Rev. Richard L. Jorgensen, pastor, officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives for one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and Crematory of Faribault. Lisa Marie Van Erp, the daughter of Dale R. and Karen M. (Sorbel) Van Erp, was born on August 14, 1971 in Faribault. Lisa worked for 14 years with K-Bar Industries of Faribault. She moved to Sioux Falls two years ago. Lisa enjoyed writing poems, fishing, dancing, joking with others, drawing and crafts. She was married to Wayne D. Meyer and they were later divorced. She is survived by her parents, Dale and Karen Van Erp of Faribault; children, Megan Rybus and Miranda Meyer; siblings, Marie Van Erp, Angie Van Erp, and Dale M. Van Erp Jr.; nieces and nephews, Ashley Van Erp, Dustin Anderson, Alex Van Erp, and Paige Sailor; grandparents, Goldie and Leonard Sorbel; former mother-in-law, Elaine Meyer; and many uncles, aunts, and other relatives. She is also survived by good friends, Kevin Stadler; Soyna Padilla and Bailey Padilla; Kevin and Linda Keilen; Bill and Colleen Thomas; Mary, Dave, Danielle, and Matt Peterson; companion, John; and many more friends.
