Lisa R. Franck, age 51, of Faribault, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Lisa Renee was born on December 27, 1963 in River Falls, Wisconsin to David and Susan (Kehl) Kiepert. She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School with the class of 1982 where she enjoyed playing baritone saxophone in her father's award-winning jazz ensemble. She then went on to earn her bachelor's degree in psychology from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, followed by her master's degree from Mankato State University.
Her life's work was dedicated to helping those suffering from eating disorders. She worked as a psychotherapist at the Wilson Center before co-founding Mental Health Professionals, thereby expanding available services for those in need in southern Minnesota.
Lisa's real passion in life, however, was spending time with her kids. Whether it was attending baseball games and parent-teacher meetings or picking wild blueberries and fishing together at the cottage, Lisa shaped her children's lives in extraordinary ways, even during her illness over the past nine years.
Devoted and selfless, Lisa loved many and many loved her. She will be truly missed by all those whose lives she changed for the better during her time here on earth.
She is survived by her children, Jacob and McKenzie, and many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 8 at 11 am at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jacob and McKenzie's college fund at Edward Jones Attn:Joseph Petrick, 6640 Lyndale Ave. S., Suite 130, Richfield, MN 55423.
