Linda J. Giles

Linda J. Giles, age 73, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home.

Linda Jean, the daughter of Florent and Dorothy (Meyer) Duchene, was born on March 26, 1950 in Faribault, MN. Linda grew up in Faribault and graduated from the Faribault High School with the Class of 1969. She raised her family in Faribault before moving to Rochester where she attended Culinary School. She worked for the Rochester Country Club before working as a housekeeper for the Mayo System. Following her retirement, Linda enjoyed taking trips to Lake City to watch the water. She had a love of cats and dogs and loved spending time with her family.

Linda is survived by her children, Bobby Giles, Jody (Jeremy) Hemmingson, and James (Sytha) Giles Sr.; grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney) Hemmingson, Elizabeth Hemmingson, and James Giles Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ian, and Rosabella Hemmingson; brother, Jerry Duchene; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Gladys Meyer; brother, Walter (Barb) Duchene; and sister-in-law, Kay Duchene.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault with Bernadette Tatge Pastoral Minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
