Leone M. Fox, age 86 of Waseca, died on Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waldorf with Fr. Peter Klein, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Community Cemetery, Waldorf. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca, and will continue on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service, at church. Leone Marie was born on October 4, 1923 in Garner, Iowa to John and Lena (Miller) Spangler. She was a graduate of Pemberton High School. On November 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to Francis Joseph Fox at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. Leone and Francis farmed and raised their family in Wilton Township, Waseca County. Over the years Leone worked for E.F. Johnson Co, Birds Eye, and Brown Printing in Waseca. Leone was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waldorf. She was also a member of the Waseca American Legion Auxiliary #228, and the Waseca V.F.W. Sweet-Sommers Auxiliary #1642. Leone was very close to her family, enjoyed being with friends, and always willing to help people. She is survived by her son Terry Fox of Albert Lea, and her daughters Guynel (Jonathan) Reid of Northfield, and Victoria (Edward) Staheli of Lansing, IA; by her grandchildren Erika, Katelyn and Jon-Erle Reid, and Oliva and Julia Staheli. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis on December 12, 1990; by her parents, two sisters Bernadine Schmidt and Irene Schleusner, and by her brother Kenneth Spangler.
