Leonard G. Voxland, age 96 of Waseca, died on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca. Private family services are being planned. Interment will be in the Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery in Holden Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota Leonard was born on September 1, 1913 to George and Sevrina (Barsness) Voxland at the family's farm in Holden Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota. He graduated from Kenyon High School in 1932 and from Concordia College in 1936. After college Leonard returned home and farmed for several years. He was united in marriage in 1941 to Christella Suzanna Brekke. Leonard owned a John Deere Implement business with his brother-in-law in Gibbon, Minnesota for 9 years. He then began a long career as an accountant at the Municipal Utilities in New Prague, Minnesota, retiring in 1978. Following retirement Leonard wintered in Texas for 10 years. He is survived by his daughter Linda (George) Berndt of Waseca, and his two sons Michael Voxland of Ft. Worth, TX, and Gregg (Linda) Voxland of Shakopee, and his foster son Bill (Lisa) Martin; by his grandchildren, Katherine (Dan) Sykora and their children Jaren and Michele; Timothy (Heather) Berndt and their daughter Delaney; James (Lindsay) Voxland and their daughter Alyssa; Michael Voxland; Chris (Kim) Voxland and their children Michael and Jacob; Mark Willemssen and his son Jonathan; Michelle (John) Barrett and their children Samantha and Jaxson. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, 5 brothers and 7 sisters; by his daughter-in-law, Jackie Voxland.
