Leona M. Vogler, age 93 of Janesville, died on Monday, December 8, 2008 at her home on Lake Elysian. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 12th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville with Fr. Syl Brown officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Blue Earth County Humane Society, or donor's choice. Leona Mary was born on May 22, 1915 in LeRay Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to William and Clara (Boeck) Muellerleile. She was united in marriage to Otto Fredrick Vogler at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville on December 4, 1934. Leona and Otto lived their entire married life in Janesville. For 16 years Leona was the sole caregiver for her husband until his death in 1983. Leona was a longtime member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, she served as coordinator for home delivered meals for 8 years, and assisted in the quilting project for 13 years. Leona also was a volunteer on telecare for many years. Leona was deeply concerned for all life, loved music, and enjoyed animals, especially the family pets. She is survived by her four sons, William, Joseph, and John, all of Janesville, and David (Rita) of Eagle Lake; by her special cousin and friend, Carolyn (Quentin) Beadell of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her husband Otto on March 10, 1983; by her three brothers Tony, Alfred, and Walter Muellerleile. Casketbearers are: William Vogler, Joseph Vogler, John Vogler, David Vogler, Ron Wiste, and Lyle Daschner.
