Lee A. Chappuis

Lee A. Chappuis, age 57, of Faribault, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Allina Health Medical Center in Faribault, following a sudden illness.

Lee Andrew, the son of Gordon and Janice (Dienst) Chappuis, was born on April 27, 1967, in Faribault. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1985. Lee was a member of the 563 Local Pipeline Union. He worked in highway and heavy construction for several companies for over 30 years, retiring at age 53. Lee enjoyed fishing and hunting, and going to the cabin with his family friends. He loved music, dancing, and was a Star Trek enthusiast. Most of all Lee loved being with his family, going to the farm to be with his mom, spending time on the porch with Christina, traveling to Texas to be with MaKenzie, and his time fishing with Chris. Makenzie cherishes the time she would spend with her dad at Chris’ place.

He is survived by his daughter, MaKenzie Bussert (fiancé John Wedrickas); grandchild, Tenley Krenske; mother Janice Chappuis; siblings, Lorne Chappuis (Lisa), Mary Chappuis, Connie Johnson (Ken), June Chappuis (Tom Panetti), Lance Chappuis (Jill), Amy Probst (Noal), Tim Chappuis (Laurie), Jody Mathews (Andy), Christina Chappuis, Ann Brown (Jeremy), and Jan Chappuis; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Lee Chappuis; father, Gordon (Bud) Chappuis; and sister-in-law, Lisa Marie Chappuis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, 7525 Dodd Road, Faribault, with Fr. Timothy Sandquist, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Shieldsville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:30 at the church.
