Lee Albers

Lee H. Albers, age 51 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

Lee Harold, the son of Paul and Donna (Kolb) Albers was born on May 9, 1970 in Northfield, MN.  He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1988.  After high school Lee attended Winona Technical College and later attended Missouri Valley Line Constructors to become a Journeyman Lineman.  Lee followed in his father’s footsteps and was a Lineman for Xcel Energy for 30 years in the Northfield/Faribault area.  On October 7, 1995 he was united in marriage to Jillene Peterson in Faribault.  Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, road trips and just loved to be outside!

He is survived by his wife Jillene Albers of Faribault; by his daughters, Courtney, Morgan, Kendra and Monica; by his parents, Paul and Donna Albers of Faribault; by his brothers, Guy Albers of LeCenter, MN, Gary (Colleen) Albers of Zumbrota, MN and Todd Albers of Owatonna, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Albers, Frank and Hazel Kolb and his aunt Bonnie Kopischkie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault with Fr. Cory Rohlfing officiating.  Private interment will be held at the Rolling Green Cemetery in Northfield, MN.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Rice County Fairgrounds Beer Garden.
