Lavone "Bonnie" Alexander, age 67 of Faribault, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault with Pastor Gordon Deuel, Pastor of the Little Prairie United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Tuesday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to services. Lavone Jean Witter, the daughter of Lawrence and Lelia (VanGuilder) Witter, was born on May 23, 1941 in Faribault. She attended Faribault High School. On June 8, 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert M. Alexander in Northfield, MN. Lavone worked at different businesses in Faribault including, Woods Nursing Home and A Child's Delight. She also worked at Cannon Valley Printing in Northfield. Lavone enjoyed spending time at her home watching TV, reading the paper, doing crossword puzzles and listening to the scanner. She was a good mother and she also loved her cat and dog very much. She is survived by her husband, Robert Alexander of Faribault; by five children, Jeffrey and James Alexander of Faribault, Jean (Tim) Riley and Judy (Shane) Reineke, both of Northfield and Joseph Alexander of Faribault; by five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Myron Reineke and Kayla and Marvin Riley; by two sisters, Lois (Richard) Fox of Faribault and Barbara (Arvid) Wallin of Owatonna; by four nephews, one niece and one great nephew; by special friends, Peggy Wallin and Mary Charlton, both of Faribault. She was preceded in death by her parents.
