Kristine Amundson Wenker, age 45, of Faribault, died suddenly on February 22, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Church in Faribault with Pastor Steve Crombie, pastor of The River Community Church in Faribault, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services. Kristine Ann Amundson, the daughter of Curtis and LaVerne (Schmitz) Amundson, was born on March 16, 1964 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1982. After high school Kristine attended the Northern Technical School of Business. Following her schooling Kristine worked at C & S Vending in different capacities and later worked as a sales associate at Slumberland in Burnsville. In May of 1988 she was united in marriage to Brent Wenker. From this marriage she had two children, Rachel and Jamie. Kristine and Brent were later divorced. She is survived by her two children, Rachel Wenker of Chicago, IL and Jamie Wenker of Beardsley, MN; by her father, Curtis Amundson of Faribault; by her brother, Scott (Therese) Amundson of Faribault; by her sister, Linda (Donald) Matakis of Faribault; by a special friend, Joel Wunderlich of Faribault, and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1994.
