Kirk N. Bennett

Kirk N. Bennett, age 67 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Kirk Neill, the son of Neill and Marlene (Ashleson) Bennett was born on August 8, 1956 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1975. Kirk worked for several years at the Faribault Regional Center in patient care until it closed and then worked for Our Circle of Friends group homes. Kirk enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his cat very much. He always looked forward to fishing trips to Devils Lake with his friends and in the wintertime going ice fishing. Kirk also enjoyed cooking, playing pool and throwing horseshoes.

He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Steinkamp, Neill Bennett, Stephen Bennett and Ben Evans (Amber), Timothy Evans (Diane), Peggy Gann (Hunter), Joseph Evans (Carla), Amy Nevis, and Katy Mossberg; his nephews, Derek (Aliza) Bennett and David Steinkamp (Cole); his niece, Samantha Steinkamp (Adam); his great nephews, Josh, Isaiah, Zane, and Brooks and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Edward “Patrick” Evans.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. 

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
