Kenneth Vargo

Kenneth E. Vargo, age 72, of Faribault, MN, died unexpectedly at his home on May 2, 2016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny, MN. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14th from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Kenneth Edward was born on July 14, 1943, in Faribault to Paul V. and Margaret (Zellmer) Vargo. He was raised in rural Kilkenny and attended Montgomery High School. Ken farmed and drove milk truck for several years before starting his lengthy career as a welder. He was a welder at Mammoth Co. in Minneapolis for many years, and then worked at Mercury Minnesota in Faribault for about five years until his retirement. Ken loved dancing, dinners and laughing with friends, tractor pulls, and antique car shows. He often socialized at the Faribault and Northfield Senior Centers.

He is survived by siblings, Donna Ludowese of Beaver Dam, WI, Richard (Wendy) Vargo of Montgomery, MN, Leon (Carol) Vargo, Duane Vargo, and Dennis Vargo, all of Faribault; uncle, Melvin Vargo of Faribault and aunts, Alvia Koubele and Blanche Zellmer, both of Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul V. and Margaret; siblings, Donald P. Vargo, Darlene (Vargo) Cemensky, and Paul (Ray) Vargo; and neice, Charlotte Cemensky.
