Kenneth "Kenny" Charles Favro

Kenneth “Kenny” C. Favro, age 69, of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca, MN.

Kenneth Charles, the son of Charles and Janet (Morris), was born on October 16, 1954 in Faribault, MN. Kenny grew up in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School with the Class of 1972. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kim Lambert on February 22, 1975 at the Congregational Church in Faribault. In 1980, Ken was asked to join their family business, Humphrey Manlift Company. He was the first of the third generation to join the business. He worked in production, purchasing, and sales before being appointed Vice President of the company under the leadership of General Manager Warren Mathies. Ken continued to serve in this role until his retirement in 2014.

Ken grew up hunting duck and geese with his father and brothers. Later he would hunt bear and wild turkey. He also enjoyed watching all sports. His joys in life were his children and grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed attending their school functions, activities, and sporting events.

Ken enjoyed their annual trips to Mexico. Brother-in-law John Reint would patrol the beach leaving Ken content to relax and watch. Deep sea fishing, sunset cruises, parasailing, and excursions made for many great times and stories to tell.

Ken is in good company now, joining many friends who were gone too soon, John R., Tom W., Mark B., John S., Dave P., Scott P., and others. You are now all together again. We love and miss all of you.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Kim; children, Nichole (Jay) Rahman of Lake Nebagaman, WI and Ben (Tracy) Favro of Faribault; 5 grandchildren, Maddie and Silas Rahman and Benson, Elsie, and Charlotte Favro; 2 bonus daughters, Micky Tuthill and Kris Moe Barnes; mother, Janet Riach of Faribault; mother-in-law, Lois Hewitt of Florida, brothers, Bob Favro, John (Lisa) Favro, and Bill (Jenny) Favro all of Faribault; sister, Mary Freeburg of Lakeville; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Greg) Truax; brother-in-law, Jeff Lambert; very special sister-in-law, Cindy Reint; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; fathers-in-law, Russell Lambert and Jack Hewitt; grandparents, AB and Mertis Morris and Henry and Helen Favro; brothers-in-law, Russell Lambert and Tom Freeburg; and brother-in-law and friend, John Reint.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Faribault Elks Lodge on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.

The family prefers memorials to be donated to the Elks Club Faribault or Faribault Hockey Association.
