Kelly Marie Caron Delesha, age 47, of Faribault, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 24, 2010. I courageously fought my cancer for 13 ½ years. I was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I always tried to wear a smile, which was very catchy at times. My cancer did not define who I was. I had a strong belief in my faith and many wonderful things that God had given to me. I married Robert Allan Delesha on August 11, 1984; he was the love of my life, soul mate, and best friend. We had many great times together and wonderful memories with our family and friends. Bob and I were blessed with three wonderful boys, Jeff (Heidi), Jacob, and mommy's little man Justin. I will miss you all so much and look forward to the time when we all meet in heaven, together again. Thank you mom and dad for all your support, I feel fortunate to have so much love, understanding and support. Please join my family at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. The family prefers that memorials be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic School, Bethlehem Academy High School or the American Cancer Society. I am so thankful to have Fr. Kevin Finnegan officiating and am grateful for all the visits he has made to our home. Sometimes he came for prayer, anointing, wedding rehearsal, graduations, baptism, and always with love and understanding. Although I feel I have to go too soon and would love to be on earth longer I am thankful that I have known much love and given much love. I was born on January 30, 1963 at District One Hospital in Faribault, MN. I grew up here in Faribault and graduated from Faribault Senior High School with the class of 1982. I worked for 16 years at Malt-0-Meal in Northfield. I also worked at Hy-Vee in Faribault and many other places during my working days. The most rewarding job was being a full time mom. I thank God for allowing me to have that wonderful vocation! I am survived by my husband Robert of 26 years; son Jeff (and Heidi), I waited 25 years for a daughter and have been blessed with a wonderful daughter in law; sons Jacob and my little angel Justin; my parents Dave and Colette Caron, my step mother in law, Lorraine Delesha; my sister, Holly (Tom) Batchelder; brothers in law, Chuck (Cindy) Delesha and Ray Jr. (Joy) Delesha and family friend Myron Reuvers. I also leave behind many family and friends and my very special friend Lisa Stevens. I am preceded in death by my father and mother in law, Ray Sr. and Cecelia Delesha. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Schwartz and Donna Casper that have helped me in one of the biggest fights of my life! I pray and hope that someday there will be a world without cancer.
