Kay Anderson, age 62, of Faribault, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault with the Rev. Henry Doyle officiating. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to services. Kay Karla Lockman, the daughter of Gordon and Virginia (Wall) Lockman, was born on Dec. 5, 1945 in Faribault. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1964. On Dec. 6, 1969, she was united in marriage to Rick Anderson at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour. They were later divorced. Kay stayed at home and raised their family. She had a love for life and enjoyed all activities outdoors including flower gardening, watching birds and other animals. She especially enjoyed her cats. She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Corby) Serk of Eden Prairie, MN; by her grandson Mason Serk; by her fiance, Dave McAdams of Faribault; by her sister, JoAnn (Michael) Mullen of Orange County, CA; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and two very special caregivers Carol Drewitz and Sue Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dean and Gary Lockman.
