Kathryn M. "Kathy" Keilen

Kathryn M. “Kathy” Keilen, age 74 of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Milestone Senior Living following an extended illness. 

Kathryn Mary, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Solberg) Cloutier was born on April 26, 1950 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault High School. On November 21, 1970 she was united in marriage to Roger Keilen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. They later divorced. Kathy worked for many years at the Faribault Woolen Mill in different jobs including, spinner, weaver, knapper and folder. Later she worked as a custodian at St. Olaf College until her retirement. Kathy enjoyed doing craft projects, feeding the wild cats in her neighborhood and buying homes that needed repair and fixing them up to later sell. 

She is survived by her sons, Dale Keilen of Albert Lea, MN, William Keilen of Rochester, MN and Thomas Keilen of Faribault, MN; by two grandchildren, Benny Keilen and Macy Keilen; by her siblings, LaVonne Mogren of Faribault, MN, James Cloutier of Faribault, MN, Russell Cloutier of Faribault, MN, David (Myoko) Cloutier of California and Janice Ellerbusch of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her daughter, Carrie Keilen in 1995 and by seven brothers, Norman, Charlie, Gerald, Neil, Donald, George and Paul Cloutier, and one sister, Lorraine Glynn. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 19 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
