Kathleen Thomas

Kathleen Ann Thomas, age 63, of Fountain Hills, AZ, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 29, 2015.

Kathleen Ann Thomas, the daughter of George and Margaret (Stanek) Thomas, was born on July 29, 1951 in Faribault, MN. She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1969. Following graduation, Kathy attended Rochester Community College and worked at Nash Finch Co.

Kathy relocated to Fountain Hills, AZ 30 years ago to live closer to her brother and sister-in-law. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix. Kathy enjoyed a life-long career as an under writer for several insurance companies. She retired from Lincoln Financial in 2014.

Kathy enjoyed her career, spending time at home, playing the piano and maintaining connections with family and friends. She was generous with her unconditional love and unselfish giving to others. Kathy was a gifted listener and conversationalist. Her ability to recount stories and make others laugh will be greatly missed.

Kathy is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Betty Thomas of Fountain Hills, AZ; nephew and nieces, Scott Thomas and Stacy (Matt) Knutson of Faribault, MN, Kris (Bill) Dublin of Owatonna, MN, Anne Thomas of Bentonville, AR and Blair Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; and by 10 great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Thomas.

Private graveside services with family and close friends will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, MN.
