Kathleen Eustice

Kathleen (Novak) Eustice, age 72, of Faribault, MN, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with the Rev. Dr. Joy Bussert, officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Kathleen LaVonne, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Velishek) Novak, was born at her family home on February 23, 1944 in Montgomery, MN. Kathy, as she was known by family and friends, attended District #119 Country School, Montgomery High School, and went on to attain her cosmetologist license in 1963 from Mankato Beauty School. She married Jim Jorgenson in July of 1964, they had three children together and were later divorced. She married Donnie Eustice on February 21, 2002. Kathy was a hard worker, often holding down two jobs while raising a family. She worked at various businesses in the Faribault area including the Plaza Beauty Salon, K-Mart and eventually retiring from the Faribault Woolen Mill in 1996.

Kathy was a very warm and loving person, taking many of her children's friends under her wing, helping people whenever she could. She loved spending time with her family and it was because of her that every birthday, holiday, and special event was celebrated together as a family. Kathy also enjoyed gardening, floral arranging, crafts, dancing and going to casinos with her husband Don. One of her fondest memories was traveling to the Czech Republic to explore her heritage. Kathy was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge of Faribault.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Eustice of Faribault; three children, Jacqueline (Jerome) Jarvis of Faribault, Jamie (Phil) Liverseed of Owatonna, MN, and James (Nicole) Jorgenson of Faribault; two step children, Marsha (Joe) Newman and Megan Edwards; grandchildren, Jessica (Gordon) Jarvis-Hill, Jillian (Dan) Jarvis-Piper, Aaron (Molly) Liverseed, Santana Liverseed, Ashley (Keith) Hartsook-Rosendahl, Alecia Caron, Brianna Jorgenson, Jacob Jones, Chastity Eustice, Shadie Brooks, Makayla Edwards, Paige Bruening, Jared Bruening, Capri Fuller, and Tony Fuller; great grandchildren, Grace, Gabby, Klare, Lorelei, Lilliahna, Dominyk, and Donald; brothers, Wally (Kathy) Novak, Calvin (Pat) Novak, Clayton (Sharon) Novak, and Bob (Renee) Novak; brother-in-law, Bob Peterson; sisters-in-law, Betty Novak and Jan Novak; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jim Jorgenson; parents, Joseph and Katherine; step-daughter, Monica Bruening; sisters, Pat Peterson, Gloria Novak, and Lou Grimm; brothers, Milo Novak and Joe Novak; great granddaughter, Ava Liverseed; and parents-in-law, Don and Alice Eustice.
