Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Julie Suzanne Olson, the daughter of Gilbert and Helen (Anderson) Olson, was born on March 12, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She attended the Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1961. Following high school, Julie attended nurses training at the St. Lucas Hospital in Faribault, obtaining her LPN license and later received her RN license from Normandale College. With nursing being very important to her, Julie was a devoted caregiver and nurse to the thousands of babies she helped deliver. She later retired as charge nurse after 33 years in a career she cherished and continued to volunteer her time with shot clinics and other nursing related organizations. Julie was united in marriage to Larry Larson in 1964 at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault. They had two children together and were later divorced. Julie had a heart of gold; she always put everyone before herself, never wanting to be the center of attention and was very giving to the things that were important to her. She enjoyed playing card games with family and friends, entertaining and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family. She is survived by her children, Eric Larson of Bloomington and Jennifer Larson of Little Canada; her grandchildren, Jason, Nichole and Braden Larson; her siblings, Charles Olson of Eureka Springs, AR, Thomas (Mary) Olson of Owatonna, Jean (William) Shogren of Eden Prairie and Barbara (Rodney) Carson of Manassas, VA and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Steven Olson.
