Joyce Knutson Stolt, age 54, of Minneapolis and formerly of Faribault, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, following a brief illness.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Rev. Elden Eklund, officiating. Interment will be at the Valley Grove Cemetery in Wheeling Township, Rice County, MN.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
Joyce Marie Fish, the daughter of Harry and Edith (Brown) Fish, was born on April 8, 1954 in Fosston, MN. She graduated from Fosston High School and received her degree as a chef from Faribault Vocational Technical College. Joyce was married to Elden Eklund in 1972, they were later divorced. She worked as a chef at a camp for children in Maine before working at a nursing home in Faribault as chef and dietician. She then worked at Sheldahl in Northfield for 18 years. Joyce was married to Carmon Knutson on August 27, 1977 in Faribault. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2000. Joyce was married to Dale Stolt on April 28, 2007. Most recently she worked as a personal care assistant. Her interests included quilting and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Stolt of Minneapolis; daughter, Katie Knutson of Ellsworth, WI; three grandchildren, Joshua, Genevieve, and Rayne; sister, Vickie (John) Benson of Fosston; brother, George (Colette) Fish of Fosston; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon; and her parents.
