John W. Cemensky, age 48, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a brief illness. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services. John William Cemensky, the son of Francis and Muriel (Christensen) Cemensky, was born on August 13, 1963 in New Prague, Minnesota. John thoroughly enjoyed cooking, which gave him the opportunity to cook at many different restaurants including KFC in Faribault for the last eighteen years. He loved his cats Kitty Sly and Sandy and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Rose St. John of Duluth; his siblings, Lorri Hunt of New Prague, Colleen (Marty) Krenik of New Prague, Linda Dague (fiancé Fred Horning) of St. Paul and his twin sister, Jenny Maxwell of Chaska and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Terry Cemensky in 1977.
