John Bertagnolli, age 58, died peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
A private family service is being held at a later date.
Arrangements are being completed by McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca.
John Francis, son of Emilo and Elenor Berry, was born on July 15, 1956 in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Following his education, he worked in many different occupations. He was a music teacher in Truman, MN for over 10 years. He also worked as a legal aid and an accountant. Following his time as an accountant, he worked as a Quality Manager for Ameristar. He was united in marriage to Jody Claude on December 31, 2014 in Waseca.
John will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His knowledge for music and composing music will be missed by the people that he touched over the years as a band director at several different schools. He had a love for music, animals, being outdoors, and his motorcycle. He will especially be missed by the people that he was close to.
John is survived by his wife, Jody Bertagnolli; step sons, Dalton Wendler (Kirsten Roder) of Clarksville and Austin Wendler of Waseca; step daughters, Kortnee Wendler (Kyle Morris) of Waterville and Izabella Strauss of Waseca; brother, Greg Berry of PA; cousin, Pete Jerosky of PA; and by his very special friends, John Socco, Donny Satori, and Todd and Kyle Kraayenhof along with their parents, Dennis Kraayenhof and Julie Heinze; and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved cat, Sebastian.
