Joan Patee

Joan F. Patee, age 65, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Reflections Care Suites in Northfield, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Joan Frances was born on January 17, 1953 in Faribault, MN to parents Michael and Marjorie (Hatfield) Yerhot. She graduated with the class of 1971 from Bethlehem Academy. Shortly after she married the love of her life, Steven Patee, on August 7, 1971 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Faribault. Joan spent her time as a homemaker for her family, cooking, cleaning and raising her children that she loved greatly. She had a love for animals and especially adored the birds that came to her feeders. Joan enjoyed listening and giving advice, being with her family and friends, and playing with her granddaughters.

Joan is survived by her husband Steven; daughters, Mary (Dan) Gare of Faribault, MN, Amy of Minneapolis, MN; son, Benjamin (Kelly) Patee of Faribault, MN; grandchildren, Hunter, Piper, Lane, Lily, and Dylan; siblings, Mary (Phillip) Condon of Stewartville, MN, Michael (Maria) Yerhot of Kilkenny, MN, Donald (Judy) Yerhot of Richfield, MN, Timothy (Jean) Yerhot of Chaska, MN and Jane (Ted) Hanegraaf of New Prague, MN; sisters-in-law Diane (David) Hollingsworth of Waterville, MN and Rita Kaderlik (Doug Macrae) of Faribault, MN; special caretakers, Betty Minnick and Sheila Turitto; her beloved cats, Ernie and Louie, and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Edward (Bud) and Dorothy Patee.
