Joan Marie Jarvis

Joan Marie Jarvis, age 70, of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at her home. 

Joan Marie, the daughter of Harlan and Rita (Otto) Jarvis was born on January 12, 1954 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Joan worked for many years as a caregiver at the Faribault Regional Center. Later she worked at a Second Look Clothing Store and then found great pleasure working as a Home Health Aide caring for the elderly at their homes. Joan collected everything from jewelry, antiques, knick knacks and anything tiny or sparkly. One of Joan’s favorite activities was spending time at the Senior Center. 

She is survived by her children, Kieren (Jon) Nystrom of Faribault, MN and Devon (Natalie) Madow of Northfield, MN; by stepdaughters, Sarah Quernemoen and Cassandra Liverseed; by six grandchildren, Chantal (Ryan) Sullivan, Miles Nystrom, Lucy Nystrom, Tegan Madow, Keatyn Madow and Kinsley Madow; by four great grandchildren, Aiden, Isaac, Euan, and Harper; by her siblings, Becky Lambert of Owatonna, MN, Shelly (Robert) Cloutier of Faribault, MN, Jeffrey Jarvis (Dorothy DeJong of Morristown, MN, Laurie Murray, Jerry (Jackie) Jarvis of Faribault, MN and Theresa (Ryan) Friesen of Faribault, MN and by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Rita Jarvis, sister, Janelle LaCanne, brother, Joe (Julie) Jarvis, niece, Shannon Herman, and stepdaughter, Wendi Liverseed.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Inn at Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, MN.
